HCP Celebrates Fall!
All of our classes/classrooms will be celebrating fall with a "mini fall-fest party" the last week of October, more specifically Wed, 10/29th or TH, 10/30th. It was referred to as a "Halloween/Fall-Fest Party" in our newsletter, but just to clarify the focus of our classroom festivities will be in celebrating the fall season, not the holiday of Halloween! There will be no "halloween stories" or official "halloween decor", instead just the sights and sounds of the fall season!
To give you an general overview of what the different classrooms will be doing.....some classes are choosing to dress up as various animals, since our curriculum theme is "Zoo Animals", other classes are planning activities like a "zoo-safari game", to pumpkin painting, to fall/leaf art projects. The festivities will end with special, yummy snacks brought in by our parent helpers.
Again, please excuse the oversight in including the word "Halloween" when labeling our October class celebration! I hope many of you will be able to join in our fall-festivities!

Chapel is Changing!
We are changing up the way we do chapel! We will hold chapel service every Wednesday and Thursday morning at 9:30, instead of rotating every other Wed. and Thurs. This will primarily effect the Two's and Three's classes. This schedule change means your child will now go to chapel every week! Our emphasis for the month of October is "I Can Love", complete with songs, scriptures and bible stories about how much Jesus loves them and ways we can give the gift of God's love to others! We even have a special media component to our chapel that the children really enjoy! Be sure and ask your child about chapel this week!
Save those toilet paper rolls!!!!
